Philip Jose Farmer is a three time Hugo award winning American writer of Science Fiction. In 2001, he was awarded the "Grandmaster" award from the Science Fiction Writers of America. He is best known for his "Riverworld" and "World of Tiers" series. His first major work was "The Lovers," published in 1952.
