Pop singer turned actress, Houston also worked as a fashion model as a teenager. She was one of the most successful music artists of the 1980s, with a string of seven Billboard #1 hits. Houston is a cousin of pop singer Dionne Warwick, and niece of disco diva Thelma Houston. She's currently married to singer Bobby Brown, formerly of the group New Edition.
