Natalie MacMaster, niece of Buddy MacMaster, helped make the music of Cape Breton (a small island off Novia Scotia's eastern coast) internationally known. Her album Fit as a Fiddle won the East Coast Music Award as Best Roots/Traditional Album of 1992.
