Sam and Dave

Soul vocal duo of Sam Moore (b. 1935) and Dave Prater (1937-1988). Had several hit singles with the Stax and Atlantic labels in the 1960s, such as "Soul Man" (1967) and "I Thank You" (1968). Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
