Born Antonio Vladimer Stephen Michael Krikorian, his stage name is an amalgam of "Joseph K." from Kafka's novel "The Trial" and the Thomas Mann short story, "Tonio Kroger." Was a member of the post-Holly Crickets in the 1970s before he went solo, under the name Steve Kirkorian.
