British synth-pop duo of keyboardist Vince Clarke (founding member of Depeche Mode and currently with Erasure) and vocalist Allison "Alf" Moyet. Active during the 1980s, when they released two albums. Known as Yaz in the USA due to a name conflict with the blues record label.
