Electro Funk combines '70s Funk with the synths and beats emerging in the fledgling Hip Hop culture. This genre can sound dated now, but it was influential on hip-hop, bass music, techno, R'n'B etc. Prominent proponents of the genre include Afrika Bambataa, Mantronix, Herbie Hancock and Cassius.
