Sage Francis, born Paul Francis, hails from Rhode Island. He started rapping when he was 8 years old, and began rapping competitively at the age of 12. He has since become a poster child for underground rap, which some see as ironic: Sage Francis is a white man, educated at Brown University, and nearing 30 years old. Now his music is featured on the independent punk/hardcore label Epitaph Records. Source: Epitaph Records
