Born in London on January 3, 1926. Acclaimed by both his fans and peers as the most influential and prolific record producer in history. His career has spanned five decades. Sir George has worked with artists ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Peter Sellars, and of course The Beatles. Classically trained, his orchestrations and recording techniques have earned him 30 number one's in the US and UK singles chart, 5 Grammys, and 2 Ivor Novello Awards. Knighted in his British homeland by Queen Elizabeth II on June 15, 1996. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
