Ian McDiarmid - British actor, born 17th April 1947, Dundee, Tayside, Scotland. Trained at the Royal Academy in Glasgow, and now has a highly successful career as a theatre director. Some TV and film appearances, including the Emperor in George Lucas's Star Wars films.
