Smith, Rex

Rex Smith is an actor and singer. He has starred in TV series such as "Street Hawk" and "As the World Turns" and in movies such as "The Pirates of Penzance" and "Sooner or Later" as well as on Broadway (most recently in "The Scarlet Pimpernel". His singing career started out in the rock band "Rex", which toured as the opening act for Ted Nugent for two years in the 70s. He starred in the TV movie "Sooner or Later" in 1979, becoming a teen idol almost immediately. He released several albums after the movie before moving on to musical theatre on Broadway.
