QBasic is a high-level interpreted programming language included with MS-DOS since 1985. Debug is a powerful DOS batch tool available in all versions of MS-DOS. ASCII Assembler is a translation of .com file source code into ASCII characters. The resultant code is placed inside a DOS batch file and used to reconstruct the .com file by use of the ECHO command. No compiler or decompiler is required. AWK is a complete pattern scanning and processing language. SED can perform large-scale, non-interactive editing tasks.
