The original Dragon Quest animation series was made in 1989 and was simply called "Dragon Quest." 13 of the original Dragon Quest anime were dubbed into English and shown in the United States as "Dragon Warrior." The most recent Dragon Quest animation series was Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken, based on a manga. The Dai no Daibouken series was released in Europe as "Fly." Several different mangas have been made for Dragon Quest in Japan.
