The term "Master Gardener" was first coined in the early 1970s to describe a new Agricultural Extension program initiated in the U.S. in Washington State. Since then the idea for organized groups of volunteer gardeners providing information to other interested gardeners has spread into communities all over the United States and Canada. If you are interested in gardening, we hope you can find a link to Master Gardeners in your location.
