Learning DisabilitiesWeb Directory

Learning Disabilities (LD) are believed to be caused by differences in the way the brain processes information. Children with LD may have problems with reading [dyslexia], writing [dysgraphia], or math [dyscalculia]. They may have trouble following verbal or written instructions, or translating thoughts to words.

People with LD are not "dumb" or "lazy." In fact, many have above-average intelligence. They simply process information differently.
