The spinosaurus was a large meat eating dinosaur, that was even larger than the tyrannosaurus. The spinosaurus was 16 to 18 metres (52 to 60 feet) long and was 5 to 6 metres (16 to 20 feet) tall. It had a very distinctive spine with bones growing up to 2 m long extending from the vertebrae.
