Drum and Bass

Drum and Bass is an energetic branch of electronic dance music and has its musical roots in such fields as Hip Hop, Jazz and R&B. It is usually characterised by frenetic dance beats, often looped and distorted. One will often also hear slower styles focussing more on the listener's sensibilities and less on the dancing feet. In the interests of simplicity people have categorised Drum and Bass into such styles as: Artcore, Darkcore, Techstep and so on.
