Ashton-in-Makerfield

Ashton-in-Makerfield is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan with a population of approximately 28,000. The town was originally known as Ashton-in-the-Willows. The preserved hand of Saint Edmund Arrowsmith can be seen in St Oswald's Church.
