Keynsham is sited on the confluence of the rivers Avon and Chew, mid way between Bath and Bristol on the A4. The town has a long history going back to prehistoric times and the remains of a roman villa are to be found in the cemetery. Keynsham is also notable for its large number of ammonites found in the local stone.
