The branch of medicine concerned with treatment and assisting recovery for patients who surviving serious injury or illness or an addiction. Treatments are intended to enable patients to maximise their potential to live a healthy and fulfilling life. Programs and services can consist of physical or physiotherapies, speech therapy and occupational training.
