Completely surrounded by the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the San Diego County community of Borrego Springs provides accommodations and facilities for visitors who enjoy golf, tennis, and exploring the desert. The town's economy also benefits from agriculture, such as grapefruit, lemons, oranges, and nursery stock. Its name comes from the desert bighorn sheep, called a "borrego" in Spanish.
