Highlands

Located in the approximate center of the state in both north-south and east-west directions, Highlands County is in the middle of Florida action. It contains the communities of Avon Park, Lake Placid, Lorida and Venus, with Sebring as the county seat. Highland's main thoroughfare is US 27, which runs throug the county from North to South.
