Essex

Essex County is located in the Northeast Kingdom region of Vermont. It is bounded to the north by Canada and to the east by the state of New Hampshire. To the west is Orleans County and Caledonia County. The county seat is Guildhall. As of the census of 2000, there are 6,459 people, 2,602 households, and 1,805 families residing in the county.
