The City of Beloit is located along the banks of the Rock River at the border of Wisconsin and Illinois. Beloit is Wisconsin's gateway city when traveling north on Interstate 90 from Chicago. When describing Beloit, anthropologist Margaret Mead said, "Beloit is America in microcosm."
