Moritz Rabinowitz (20.09.1887 - 27.05.1941) Opprinnelig fra Polen, ankom Norge i 1909 og Haugesund i 1911. Døde i Sachsenhausen den 27. Mai 1941 av lungebetennelse. Rabinowitz' historie ble filmatisert i "Mannen som elsket Haugesund" i 2003. På minnedagen for Holocaust, 6. mai 1986, reiste Haugesund kommune en minnestein over Moritz Rabinowitz.
