Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) is Sun's server-side component architecture for Java and part of Sun's Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE). EJB is supported by application server and business component products from both commercial vendors and open source projects. Typically, application serves which support the EJB standard also strive to offer support for the rest of J2EE.
