East Windsor [Hartford County] Connecticut was settled 1680. Incorporated from Windsor and named in May, 1768. Formerly named Windsor.
Area, 26.8 sq. miles. Population, est., 10,026. Voting districts, 2. Principal industries, agriculture, support system facilities, and manufacture of small tools, paper boxes, electronics, aluminum by-products, farm implements and fertilizers.
It is considered to be a part of the Greater Hartford Metro Area.
