The western region of the United states includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The region's geography is quite varied from being mountains, canyons, deserts, coastal, volcanic and rain forests. The temperatures range from the highest in the nation from the desert region to the coldest in Alaska.
